💱 Currencies & Exchange Rates
Main currency, world currencies, custom currencies and exchange rates.
How it works
- Your main currency is chosen at first setup. Totals, dashboards and reports are in this currency.
- You can add other currencies and create accounts in them. Each has a rate to the main currency.
- Transactions in another currency are converted to the main currency for totals.
Open the screen
Settings → Configuration → Currencies. The list shows badges: MAIN for your main currency, CUSTOM for currencies you created.

Add a world currency
- Tap the globe button to open World Currencies.
- Search for the currency and tap it. Casviz fetches the current rate and adds it (already added ones show Added).
Add a custom currency
Use the + button (Add Custom Currency) for currencies not in the list – for example a loyalty-points currency. Enter the ISO code, Name, Symbol and the rate to main currency. All three text fields are required.
- Custom currencies can be edited; world currencies cannot.
- Custom currencies do not refresh online. Edit their rate manually.
- A custom currency can never be set as the main currency.
Exchange rates
Rates of world currencies are refreshed from an online exchange-rate service (this needs an internet connection). When you add a transfer between currencies you can also tap Refresh exchange rate and edit the rate for that transaction.
Change the main currency
Use the “set as main” action on a world currency. Casviz asks you to confirm (Change main currency?) and re-bases all other rates using live rates.
You cannot change the main currency while any transactions exist (including deleted ones). Delete all transactions first, use Reset Contents, or a Complete Wipe.
Delete a currency
You cannot delete the main currency, a currency used by any account (including deleted accounts), one used by active transactions, or one used by a repeat transaction. Casviz explains which blocker applies.
