📥 Import & Export Data

Bring data in from CSV or MoneyManager, and export reports.

Import from CSV

  1. Open Settings → Backup & Data → Import CSV and choose your CSV file.
  2. Map the CSV columns to Casviz fields (Date, Account, To Account, Category, Description, Type, Amount…).
  3. Review the preview. Rows that may already exist are flagged as possible duplicates – deselect them to skip.
  4. Confirm to import.

Imported entries carry a CSV badge in the transaction list. If “No transactions were inserted”, check that the accounts exist and the amounts are valid.

Import from MoneyManager

In Backup & Restore → MoneyManager Import pick a .mmbak or .db file. The import merges data without erasing existing records and is safe to run more than once. Transactions without a matching category go to Uncategorized.

Export

To export transactions as CSV use Analytics → Reports → Export CSV. For a full copy of all data use a backup.

If a passcode is set, importing data requires it.
