🔔 Notifications, Alerts & Quick Add
Reminders, bill and budget alerts, and one-tap transaction entry.
Open Settings → Notifications. Casviz notifications need the Android notification permission – allow it when asked, and make sure battery optimisation is not blocking Casviz.
Reminders
A daily notification, “Time to log your transactions”. Switch on Enable Reminders and choose Once daily, Twice daily (first and second reminder times) or Weekly (pick the day), then the time. If you use Smart Import, the reminder also tells you how many imported transactions are waiting for review.
Bill Alerts
Notifies you before a Bill account is due (credit cards are covered by the credit limit alert and the Overview tab instead). Choose Days before due date and the Notification Time.
- You are only reminded about a cycle that is still unpaid. If you already paid the bill – or paid part of it, in which case only the pending part counts – no reminder is sent.
- You need at least one active Bill account with a due day set.
Budget Alerts
Notifies you when spending on a budget crosses your chosen percentage (for example 80%). Choose the threshold and the daily check time. See Budgets.
Immediate Alerts
When on, budget alerts (and the credit limit alert below) are also checked right after you save a transaction, in addition to the daily checks.
Credit limit alert
In Analytics → Cards tap Set Limit on a card and enter the Limit Amount and Alert % (80 if you leave it empty). With Immediate Alerts on, saving a transaction on that card checks your spending in the current billing cycle (carried-forward balance and payments are not counted) and notifies you if it reaches the percentage of the limit: “Credit limit alert: <card>”.
Data issues
Casviz tells you – once – when a repeat transaction or Smart Import rule points to an account, category or currency that was removed, closed or deleted, so it can no longer run. This can happen, for example, after restoring an older backup. Tap the notification to open Repeat Transactions (or the Smart Import rules) and edit or delete the affected items. The notification disappears by itself once everything is fixed. Casviz never deletes these items for you.
Notification History
Settings → Notifications → Notification History lists past app notifications so you can see anything you dismissed.
Quick Add (widget & status bar)
Add income, expense or transfer without opening the full app.
- Home-screen widget – long-press your home screen, tap Widgets, search for Casviz and place the Quick Add widget.
- Status-bar notification – in Settings → Notifications → Quick Add switch on Persistent Status-Bar Notification to get + Income, + Expense, + Transfer buttons in the notification drawer at all times.
