Lock the app with a PIN or biometrics, and understand what data is collected.
Passcode
Open Settings → Security & App → Passcode and set a PIN. When a passcode is on it is also required before sharing or restoring a backup, importing data, and resetting or wiping data.
Biometric login
Switch on Biometric Login to unlock with fingerprint or face (if your phone supports it). You can still unlock with your PIN.
Lock behaviour
| Option | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Lock when minimized | Locks the moment the app goes to background. |
| Lock on screen off | Locks when the power button turns the screen off. |
| Lock after time in background | Locks only if the app stays in background longer than your chosen time. |
| Lock after inactivity | Locks if the app is open but untouched for your chosen time. |
Important
Keep a recent backup so you can recover your data if you ever have to reinstall the app.
Crash reports
Settings → Security & App → Crash reports: optionally send anonymous technical details when the app crashes (Firebase Crashlytics) so bugs can be fixed. They do not contain your transactions.
Privacy
- Your financial data is stored on your device. Smart Import reads messages on-device only.
- Backups go only where you send them (your device, your Google Drive).
