➕ Add, Edit & Copy a Transaction

Record income, expenses and transfers – and fix or duplicate them later.

Add a transaction

  1. On the Transactions tab tap +.
  2. Choose the type at the top: Income, Expense or Transfer.
  3. Enter the Amount.
  4. Pick the Account (for a transfer: From and To accounts – use Swap accounts to flip them).
  5. Pick the Category (income/expense only). If Casviz recognises your description it shows “Category suggested from history”.
  6. Check the Date and Time (they default to now).
  7. Type a Description (“What is this for?”) and an optional Note.
  8. Tap Save.

Tip

Turn on Autocomplete and Casviz will suggest descriptions you used before as you type.

Income and expense

An Income increases the account balance; an Expense decreases it. Categories are different for each type (Income Category / Expense Category). Categories with subcategories are shown as Parent → Child.

Transfers

A transfer moves money between two of your accounts (for example Bank → Cash). It is not counted as income or expense, with one exception: when you transfer to a Loan or Credit Card account, you can choose to treat it as an expense (see Transfer-Expense Settings).

Repeat and Installment

Turn on Repeat to create the same transaction automatically on a schedule: Daily, Weekly (choose the days), Monthly (day of month – if the month is shorter, the last available day is used) or Yearly. Choose when it ends: a count, an end date, or no end date.

Turn on Installment to split a purchase into a fixed number of payments; progress is shown as “paid/total installments”. Manage schedules in Repeat Transactions.

Edit a transaction

  1. Tap the transaction in the list to open its details.
  2. Tap Edit, change what you need, and tap Save.

Copy a transaction

Open the transaction and tap Copy. A new transaction opens pre-filled (title: “Copy Transaction”) – change the date or amount and save. Great for regular purchases.

Delete a transaction

Open the transaction and use Delete. It moves to Settings → Accounts → Deleted Transactions, where you can restore it or delete it forever (details).
